Field Mouse - Glass.
New video via Stereogum, with an MP3 download. If you haven’t heard Field Mouse, you definitely should. One of the up and coming bands from Williamsburg/Greenpoint, Brooklyn. It’s a simple video, and I don’t mind staring into Rachel’s pretty eyes for nearly 4 minutes.

IT’S A TRAP.
I like how it’s by the Bedford L station in Williamsburg. Bedford Avenue: the hipster Times Square (and I know; I’ve lived there).

Jenny Lewis - Sing A Song For Them.
“To who you are, and will never be…”
Lewis’ second solo album, Acid Tongue, may have a more jazzy, 70’s sound than Rabbit Fur Coat’s twangy southern charm, but I approve of anything done by the lead singer of Rilo Kiley.

OK Go - White Knuckles.
FAVORITE VIDEOS OF ALL TIME #43.
Sure, OK Go has been known for their innovative, nearly 1-take videos, but I have a soft spot for dogs. And who doesn’t love dogs? If you don’t like dogs (and conversely this amazing video), then really, there’s nothing to believe or have faith in anymore.

Desire - Don’t Call.
New video via Stereogum. Ever since I heard “Under Your Spell” on the Drive soundtrack, I’ve fallen in love with this band.

Sleigh Bells - Comeback Kid.
Official video via Stereogum. Both the song and the video are like a pleasant, sugary punch in the face by a suburban kid — and that’s a good thing.

Chairlift - I Belong in Your Arms
When I close my eyes when I’m listening to this record, I’m transported back to my dad’s car parked in the driveway, enclosed in my little 8-year-old bubble listening to Top 40 radio, jamming out, pretending to cruise around driving his station wagon to the beach. I’m completely infatuated with it. Their new Something LP is definitely one of my favorite releases this year.
Aside: what’s with delivering the MP3s two weeks before the vinyl? You’d figure they’d do it the other way around…
“I Belong In Your Arms,” the latest single from Brooklyn duo Chairlift, is a bouncy 80’s romp that should set your week off to a great and a very cool start.
It’s the alternative single of the week over at iTunes, so head on over and grab a free(!) download while you still can.

New Order - Ceremony.
“I’ll break them down, no mercy shown. Heaven knows it’s gotta be this time.”
Morning. The kind of song that makes you want to take on the world and take no prisoners.
