Bear In Heaven “You Do You”

INXS - Never Tear Us Apart.
“I told you that we could fly, ‘cause we all have wings, but some of us don’t know why.”
You can never tear me apart from 80’s music.

Charles Spearin’s The Happiness Project - Vanessa.
“All of a sudden I felt my body moving the sound.”
Saw him, Years, and Do Make Say Think last night (which, if you think about it, is the same band). Anyhoo, this song really got to me: Charles Spearin, core member of Broken Social Scene and Do Make Say Think, interviewed his deaf neighbor. Pretty sweet, folks, especially around 3:21.

Happy Thanksgiving! And to all you malnourished indie kids out there, eat something. You look like skin and bones and American Apparel.

The Fiery Furnaces - Teach Me Sweetheart.
“My mother-in-law was standing by the stove, hissing like a snake, hissing like a snake, hissing like a snake. She gave orders to spill my blood; she gave orders to spill my blood, I thought.”
Well, if you hate spending time with the in-laws, at least they’re not trying to physically harm you. Or so I thought.

Ted Leo and the Pharmacists - Me and Mia.
“Fighting for the smallest goal: to get a little self-control. I know how hard you try. I see it in your eyes, but call your friends, ‘cause we’ve forgotten what it’s like to eat what’s rotten.”
Thanksgiving ain’t a time for eating disorders. Ted Leo says so.

Voxtrot - Every Day.
“Oh, I’m just breathing air. Contracts on everything. Reluctant and measuring the food that we choose to bring.”
So hungry… for Voxtrot.

Tegan & Sara - Where Does The Good Go?
“Look me in the eye and tell me you don’t find me attractive. Look me in the heart and tell me you won’t go. Look me in the eye and promise no love is like our love. Look me in the heart and unbreak the broken, it won’t happen.”
Heart breaks for the holidays.
